Moved
Moved from Efferia.

Efferia latruncula, male; new
Efferia latruncula, male; new for BG. The slight metallic/ reflective sheen from the integument of the legs and thorax -- that members of the carinata group give-off -- can be seen in your photos. Good work Tony & Herschel !

Very interesting
male Efferia in the high north where we are down to six species. This appears to have the thorax and mohawk spine of the Carinefferia. This would make it either latruncula or costalis. Will have to check my papers when I am back home.

And at home I think this is likely E. latruncula.
