I think this is likely a Syngrapha octoscripta. ID confirmation or correction would be much appreciated.

Syngrapha sp.
I have (subsequently) done an estimation of the size. The FW length is 18-19 mm, which (according to the BG guide pages) strengthens the S. octoscripta ID and makes S. altera much less likely.
