A set of online interactive guides to the eastern bees. Currently there is a guide to the genera and about 20+ guides to the species of some of those genera. We hope to have all the genera up on the web by the end of 2005 and then begin working our way west to include all the bees on the continent. Guides are designed for the advanced amateur to the professional. If possible we use common names rather than jargon, but at times it is necessary to get technical to separate out closely related species. We also plan to add more pictures and illustrations (including links to Bugnet photographs) over time.
