Long-horned Grasshopper Nymph - Conocephalus nigropleurum

Long-horned Grasshopper Nymph - Conocephalus nigropleurum
Houghton, Houghton County, Michigan, USA
July 12, 2014
I found this Long-horned Grasshopper nymph about 2:30 p.m. on a thimbleberry leaf. It was in an opening in a mixed second growth forest with a
sandy trail running through it. It appears to be eating something. The location is in the western Upper Peninsula of Michigan near Lake Superior.
Would anyone be able to identify this for me? Thank you.
