Common Swift Moth - Korscheltellus lupulina - female

Common Swift Moth - Korscheltellus lupulina - Female
Richmond Hill, York Region, Ontario, Canada
May 26, 2007
Caught in aerial sweep. It began to lay eggs as soon as I captured it, so now I have a bunch of eggs. I wonder if they are viable ... they were white to start with, turning black within a few hours' time. I caught a male the next day; one that has the typical reddish coloration. Does anyone know whether all females are gray, or this is just a grey morph?
