. Most of the characters given in Bousfield (1965) to distinguish this species from
Amphiporeia lawrenciana
are not visible in this photo. However, based on the very good agreement of this specimen's antennae and, from what is clearly visible in these photos, uropod 3 and the gnathopods, to the original description of the species and Bousfield's description of the ranges of the species, I feel comfortable assigning this to
A. virginiana
.
