Lebia grandis? - Lebia grandis

Lebia grandis? - Lebia grandis
Blanchard township, Lafayette County, Wisconsin, USA
September 4, 2015
Size: 10mm
Came to black light. The striations appear to be deeper than L.atriventis as noted in the ID section. This would be the first for Wisc so would feel more comfortable with a confirmation or a new direction with the ID. Thanks!

Moved

Lebia grandis - fairly common in WI.
Body length alone would have separated the two species in question. I'm mystified as to why BugGuiders don't post measurements more often. At least that's been my observation with ground beetle submissions. I am more likely to post comments when I read body measurements.

Thanks for your help.
And thanks for letting me know the importance of measurements. I can easily post measurements and try to when I have a sheet as a background. I'll try harder to estimate sizes as I'm taking the photo.

Just estimated
the size based on the wood in the background. I'm estimating 10mm.

10 mm rules out
smaller L. atriventris. Thanks.
