Located with someone with better eyesight than I have, my brother-in-law who had previously mentioned an invasive snail. And this beetle he found might be a snail eater. Possibly in ???Scaphinotus subgenus Stenocantharus (Scaphinotus subgenus Stenocantharus)??? Sorry for the poor photography.
