Dragonfly Species - Macromia taeniolata
Washington, Beaufort County, North Carolina, USA
September 16, 2015
Size: 3 1/2" plus wingspan
Photographed in back yard, two blocks away from Pamlico River (Fresh water) Observed 1:00 pm on sunny day.
My dragonfly identification book has several similar photos, but none native to Eastern NC.
