This is a spotted wing male.
This is a spotted wing male. Sometimes the wing spots do not appear, or do not fully appear until 3 days after emergence.

What gave me pause
was the bare strip running down the center of the thorax. All of my other ones seem to be evenly covered with short setae without the bare strip. I guess that is just normal variation?

Thanks Meredith!
