Considerations with E. magnus
E. magnus
has sparse records but is known from the Gulf and Atlantic states as far north as New York (Long Island) and with an additional record in New Jersey. I'm not aware of Nick Fensler having given any species IDs for Maryland either.
I've recently moved out a handful of records from a few states with known records and where Nick had only been comfortable with a genus-level ID. Maryland may be close enough to warrant similar caution as Nick only gave an ID on a
Pennsylvania record
through direct keying and didn't mention range as part of his decision, for instance.
