February 15?
Do you find adults at this early date in nature in North Carolina? or is this a forced circumstance? I wonder whether it would be better to remove the date so it doesn't create confusion when checking the map and data.
Maybe mentioning it within the text would be more appropriate.

Yes,
this was my mistake by keeping the pupa inside instead of outside waiting for it to emerge. It emerged too early. Good idea to remove the date.
