Rhipicephalus sanguineus? - Rhipicephalus sanguineus - Male
El Paso, El Paso County, Texas, USA
September 23, 2015
My veterinarian kindly provided me with a couple of live ticks. One is an engorged adult female and the other an adult male and both Rhipicephalus sanguineus. They were collected on 9/23/15 from a dog.

Rhipicephalus
Yes to Rhipicephlaus and I think the adanal plates have the right shape/size for R. sanguineus.

If this is a different individual...
...you'll want to unlink it from the other photos. The two individuals can be cross referenced by placing thumbnails in the Remarks section, if desired.

Thanks.
