Mystery Egg

Mystery Egg
Humboldt County, California, USA
Size: this pic was taken at 40
I see this egg on cannabis leaves all the time but have never found an insect to correlate it to. This egg is MUCH smaller than the common spider mite egg; although they are both perfectly spherical this eggs seems to have some texture to it while spider mite eggs are smooth. Also, this egg appears in high concentration on sick plants and in lower/minimal concentration on healthy plants. I've tried hatching it out with no success but maybe my hatching techniques are not good. I am using a breathable tissue culture jar with a wet cotton ball to keep humidity up and incubating at approximately 70. I check leaves every couple days with no success.

spider mite
So now that we have ruled out broad mite and I have looked at your other pictures I am pretty confident it is another species of spider mite. I cannot find what it is called right now, it is not the two spotted spider mite but it is a spider mite.

Maybe
This might be a egg of the predatory mite family Phytoseiidae; these are probably preying on the broad mites.

broad mite?
It may not be showing up well in the picture but you say the eggs are textured? Broad mites are smaller than spider mites and can cause pretty serious damage for such tiny insects. Do the eggs look a little like tiny soccer balls in person? And are the plants getting holes or misshapen leaves?

so i just uploaded a picture
so i just uploaded a picture of a broadmite egg - they are quite distinct...definitley not the mystery egg
