Florida Viceroy - Limenitis archippus - female

Florida Viceroy - Limenitis archippus - Female
Fort Myers, Six-mile Cypress Bayou Preserve, Lee County, Florida, USA
September 28, 2015
This Florida subspecies was very distinctive compared to the Viceroy's I'm used to in Texas, but I couldn't get a crisp image of this female as she dance around and oviposited on the small willow sapling in the deep shade of the cypress swamp.
