Explanation of Names
Micronectidae Jaczewski, 1924
Numbers
2 spp. in 2 genera (both adventive) in Florida(1); ~230 spp. in 7 genera total(2); no native taxa in US or Canada

Tenagobia is the native genus in the Neotropics; various older works have reported this genus in multiple US states but all records are erroneous/misidentifications
Size
very small: 1.9‒2.2 mm(1)
Range
worldwide, mostly palaeotropical; in the US, only in FL(1)
Remarks
both spp. recorded in Florida are of SE Asian origin, probably introduced with aquarium plants(1)
