Bucculatricidae, upper side of Redroot leaf - Bucculatrix anaticula

Bucculatricidae, upper side of Redroot leaf - Bucculatrix anaticula
Red Oak Prairie, Allamakee County, Iowa, USA
September 25, 2015
September 25, 2015: collected Redroot, Ceanothus herbaceus, plant parts with leaves that had woven shelters on the underside. In the evening I found this larva.
Opened a couple of the shelters to find what looked like a larval exuvium and a head capsule
September 27, 2015: photographed some of the leaf mines
and 4 spent molt shelters . There were lots of them.
February 18, 2016: (on or before) 2 live adults
