As usual failed to get that epipygium shot.

This spider hitched a ride on my net at some point during my walk through the oak woodlands.

The color pattern and the tubercles evident
would lead us to suggest rosae. Let's see what others think.

The genus page says it does
a number of other images from Cal look like they could be anastera, but not an expert on this group by any means.

How about a lateral shot where we could see the end of the abdomen?

Does look like it might be Eustala anastera

Angle is a bit off unfortunately, but attached
I knew I should have been more careful with it...

It had a distinct central hump at the end (which you can sort of see in the new image if you look closely) but that's it.
