Imperial moth pupae or sphinx moth pupae?

Imperial moth pupae or sphinx moth pupae?
Branchburg, Somerset (central NJ) County, New Jersey, USA
September 30, 2015
Size: app. 2 inches
This was found in the middle of the sidewalk around 9:30am. There is no visible damage to it and it appears to still be alive. I am not sure what kind of moth it is or what to do with it. Is it possible to keep it to see if it will eclose?
