Nice Longhorn - Derobrachus thomasi

Nice Longhorn - Derobrachus thomasi
Lakeland, Polk County, Florida, USA
June 2, 2007
Size: 48 mm
This longhorn had quite a bite when I picked it up. I had to look to make sure no blood was shed! It was attracted to front porch lights after a 2.5" rain in the morning. It was near a large live oak tree. In three years, it is the first of this species I've found in my oak hammock.
