Ground beetle
I believe the species is Harpalus caliginosus. See
here
. Hopefully someone else can weigh in on this too.
You should put this image in the guide and frass the other one. Great find!

Dicaelus dilatatus
Thanks for pointing me in the right direction. It appears to be Dicaelus dilatatus. The guide suggests this based on the rear of the pronotum.
