Variable Sallow? - Omphaloscelis lunosa

Variable Sallow? - Omphaloscelis lunosa
Reston, Fairfax County, Virginia, USA
October 4, 2015
Size: wingspan about 34-40mm
Observed in morning near porch light. (Similar moth seen in late Sept of this year, and later in Oct of last year.) This seems likely to be a Variable Sallow (wing venation, irregular ST line, black spot in lower half of reniform spot), although it has some characteristics of a Silky Sallow (veins and spot outlines yellowish, thin yellow border along costa and inner margin, AM line more smooth than toothed). Does anything steer the ID to one of these two sallows, or maybe something else?
