Bioluminescent bug - Photuris

Bioluminescent bug - Photuris
Princess Anne, Somerset County, Maryland, USA
October 6, 2015
Size: >1 inch
Ran across three of these guys (widely dispersed) on the roadside after dark, noticeable because they give off a faint whitish light that blinks slowly like a dying firefly. Anyone know what it is?
