Some kind of short-winged Katydid? - Obolopteryx catinata
Marble Falls, Burnet County, Texas, USA
Size: ~ 2 inches
I was wondering if this is some sort of 'Short-winged Katydid'? The antennae must have been about 5 inches long and the body about 2 1/2 to 3 inches. It was not disturbed by me getting in close to take photos. Any help in the ID is appreciated.

Dichopetala
This Phaneropterine katydid looks like a mature male of the genus Dichopetala. That genus is speciose in Texas, but I may be able to get it to species. The color pattern is striking, much better looking than dead museum specimens I'm used to seeing!

Thread-legged katydid.
This is probably a species in the genus Arethaea, the thread-legged katydids. Looks like a male, immature in all likelihood.
