btw
I'm thinking this may be reflexa or producta. Stylata is a western species (the map on Dmitriev appears to be wrong). The diagram of picta in 1958 looks close too, but in 1988 the diagram for picta looks different (however, coloration wise, picta might be the closest)

Stylata is in Leafhoppers of Illinois
where it is said to be a prairie species. The diagram for picta looks very similar and is probably a better fit based on range. I haven't reviewed the descriptions.

picta
its not picta. Picta evidently is visually distinctive too, and has a dark spot on the apex of the wings

face
do you have an image of the face?
Yeah, I have BOLD pulled up as well. And most Flexamia specimens look like one another.
check out the comment section, just created (took forever) this list of characters for the harder to impossible to ID species. I think you have a couple extra ones up north that don't occur down here, such as beameri.

face
thanks!
Based on the description of the reflexa, inflata, and producta, I'm leaning towards the latter. I believe this may be a dark specimen.
"face variable but often with brown interocular band contrasting with pale color of remainder; if without band (occasionally obscured in darker specimens), then irregularly darkened."
What do you think? I guess we could measure the width and length of the head.
