Spider in CT - Araneus diadematus - Female
Newington, Hartford County, Connecticut, USA
October 9, 2015
Size: 3/4 to 1 inch
Underside of spider. Web was an orb. Spider retreated inside a folded dead leaf. Found in late afternoon.

Araneus marmoreus?
The epigyne looks right. I'd welcome a second opinion though.
