These little ones aren't playing choo choo - Chrysoperla comanche

These little ones aren't playing choo choo - Chrysoperla comanche
Craig Park, Fullerton, Orange County, California, USA
June 2, 2007
It's a more lethal endeavor, as the larva in back attacks the larger ladybird larva. Who's the predator? Looks like an immature lacewing to me.

The ladybird is Chilocorus ?orbus?. My intent is, after predator ID, to split this post into two, one for each insect.

Axion plagiatum: it's what's for dinner
We just ID'd the lady beetle over in the Coccinellidae node, and I figured the Chrysopidae fans might like an update :-)

Wonderful. Thanks!

#115292 Identification – Chrysopidae sp. (upper left)
Identification. Suggest moving to Chrysopidae: No Taxon Larvae. Interesting photo. From the position of the chrysopid's legs, it looks like its doing all it can to hold on as it is being dragged around by the larger beetle larva.

'Aphidophage Showdown'
absolutely spectacular scene

Thanks, v.
Interesting to watch and fun to shoot.
