Regular circular pile of tiny eggs

Regular circular pile of tiny eggs
La Crescenta, Los Angeles County, California, USA
October 11, 2015
Size: 0.3 mm
I found a regular circular pile of 0.3x0.5 mm eggs in my dining room near an A/C vent. The pile is roughly the size of a quarter. The eggs are dry and resemble sand or fine grain. When viewed up close they are pill shaped with slight facets. There was another pile the day before but they were removed and a similar pile appeared overnight.

Thanks Ken,

Took me awhile to reply. I had to figure out how on the site. Thanks for the image. The good news is you found out its termites, the bad news is its termites. I really do appreciate you helping figure out the mystery. Looks like I have a tenting in my future.

Cheers,

Rob Lock
