Size: ca 10 mm
these flies were sitting on rocky substrate, or on the rocks themselves. We also swept some from grasses and other sparse vegetation.

Great find & ID beetledude63! New for BG; separable from the similar Sintoria cyanea [Photo#592402] by the large silvery-gray bands anteriorly on each tergite.
