Parasitoid wasp in a spherical gall in Solidago rugosa - Eurytoma gigantea

Parasitoid wasp in a spherical gall in Solidago rugosa - Eurytoma gigantea
Near Pumpkin Point Road, Echo Bay, Ontario, Canada
September 25, 2015
There were two galls on this stem. The lower one was parasitised, but the top one did not develop. There is a very good photo of a S. rugosa with three galls in one stem.
