Green Islands on Populus tremuloides - Ectoedemia argyropeza

Green Islands on Populus tremuloides - Ectoedemia argyropeza
Fredericton, York County, New Brunswick, Canada
October 14, 2015
After reading your blog on Green Islands #2, I went out with the search image in mind. It wasn't long before I found a few, just 5, not all that common, on fallen Populus tremuloides leaves. I collected 4. Could these be Ectoedemia argyropeza?

Well...
There is an E. argyropeza mine at the far right edge of this photo, and you can see the frass line descending into the petiole. The blotch in the center of the photo may be a Phyllonorycter mine, but I'd need to see the other side of the leaf to be sure. The other three leaves in your last photo each have an E. argyropeza mine, without any other mines that I can see.
