the terminal leaflet is twisted to see dorsal side. Small blotches near midrib seem unrelated. The mines are almost upper-tent, or at least a bit 'pinched'

Awesome; thanks! My first BugGuide continental record! Though I do note in reality it likely has a reasonably broad distribution. Larvae are still alive, but young, so we shall see whether adults emerge.

 
I haven't managed to rear this one yet
I collected a number of mines in Ohio last year, but nothing came of them. I'd suggest continuing to look for mature larvae / pupae as the season winds down.
