Dipteran - Ocyptamus dimidiatus
Boca Raton, Palm Beach County, Florida, USA
October 23, 2015
This fly was cruising the upper surfaces of leaves, usually alighting very briefly, but occasionally for longer periods. It seemed to be hunting visually.

female?
Hi Zachary - I posted a critter of this species that someone identified as a male, so I was looking for a female with which to contrast mine. The individual on this post is female, no?

...this is a female.

Note the eyes aren't meeting anteriorly.
