We checked out the paper by Rindge on Meris and Nemeris
that is listed on the info page and it seems that all these Nemeris from southeastern Arizona should be Nemeris sternitzkyi, if we understand what we read. So our previous question about the caterpillar of speciosa may not actually apply? :(

Nemeris spp.
Thanks for mentioning the info in the Rindge paper. Noel McFarland got only Nemeris sternitzkyi in 32 years of nearly year-round blacklighting. The type location is Miller Canyon. For several years I lived and blacklighted within a quarter mile of where Sternitzky lived in Miller Canyon. None of the material I have sent to BOLD DNA Analysis has come back as N. sternitzkyi. Looking at the DNA results two of the specimens have matched N. speciosa 100%. Three of the specimens have matched 100% with N. speciosa, N. percne, and N. sternitzkyi. But all specimens have been given the name Nemeris speciosa.

Charles, do you know what the caterpillar of this species
looks like? Might it be this one?

Larva ID
I sent the images to Noel McFarland. He stated that from his experience the Nemeris spp. are cryptically colored and the Meris spp. have aposmatic coloration as in these larvae.
But of course, when in doubt, rear it out.
