Baars-Firestone Wildlife Sanctuary, University of West Florida, Pensacola, Escambia County, Florida, USA
October 18, 2015
Collected from under a rotten log at the Baars-Firestone Wildlife Sanctuary, University of West Florida, during the fall BioBlitz. Habitat is mixed (oak, pine, magnolia, etc.) upland forest. I think this must be a Trap-jaw Ant (Odontomachus sp.). Confirmation and any additional information will be greatly appreciated!
