Dreamy Duskywing Larvae - Erynnis icelus

Dreamy Duskywing Larvae - Erynnis icelus
Hidden Corners Sanctuary, Town of Baileys Harbor, Door County, Wisconsin, USA
September 8, 1997
Found larvae eating Willow (Salix sp.). They did not make a chrysalis, but went into diapause. Overwintered in refrigerator. One died. Took remaining caterpillar out of refrigerator on April 23, 1998. Within a few hours it turned pink and started a loose cocoon/pupa. I thought it was a moth. A male Dreamy Duskywing eclosed on May 16, 1998.
