Moth Identification IV - Syngrapha rectangula

Moth Identification IV - Syngrapha rectangula
Chassell, Houghton County, Michigan, USA
July 13, 2014
This moth came to my porch light at about 10:30 p.m. My yard is overrun with Blackberry brambles. Some trees in the yard include Paper and Yellow Birch,
Sugar Maple, White Pine, and White Spruce. The location is in the western Upper Peninsula of Michigan near Lake Superior. Would anyone be able to identify
this moth for me? Thank you.

Moved to Salt-and-Pepper Looper
Moved from Moths.

The pied FW with jagged black traverse lines, edged with white, and white/silvery stigma (variable) are distinctive. Adds new species for Michigan on BG.

Must be at least close to this

Will try to pin it down.
