Deraeocoris poecilus

Deraeocoris poecilus
Great Falls, C&O Canal NHP, Montgomery County, Maryland, USA
October 25, 2015
Size: ~5mm
Looks like Deraeocoris poecilus: has the punctate pronotum and red cuneus mentioned on the species page (well, one cuneus anyway, the other one appears to have been torn off.) I was not able to get a photo of the 2nd abdominal segment to compare it to the pronotum.
Found ~12 miles as the crow flies from the location of WonGun Kim’s photos of the same species (here and here).

Confirmation/correction of the ID would be appreciated. TIA

Sorry for the whiplash, but I'm having second thoughts about this one. I think A2 refers to the second antennal segment--and I'm not sure that it is clearly longer than the pronotum in this specimen. Given that there are 64 species in our area, and fewer than 20 are represented in the Guide, I feel safer leaving these at the genus level pending expert review.

because I just realized that I had already posted this. A mind is a terrible thing to lose

your caution was warranted
as usual :-). WonGun Kim says that he'd need to see additional features to be certain that this wasn't another possible species of Deraeocoris. I posted another 2 photos to see if they will help. I'll report back when I hear from him

no need to apologize
"A2" as an antennal segment makes much more sense than my assumption as does leaving this one at genus for the time being. The species page says "A2 ≥ pronotum" so I measured both A2s and the pronotum in pixels from the second photo I posted. They're all about the same size (pronotum = 166 pixels on the midline, A2 = 156 and 166 pixels). I'll email WonGun Kim to see if he'll take a look at it.
Thanks for the time you've spent on this ID, it's appreciated.

Seems as though this must be it, but expert confirmation would be appreciated.

Thanks
