Gall on an oak leaf - Polystepha pilulae

Gall on an oak leaf - Polystepha pilulae
Baars-Firestone Wildlife Sanctuary, University of West Florida, Pensacola, Escambia County, Florida, USA
October 18, 2015
Size: 4 mm
A gall on a leaf of Quercus hemisphaerica (Darlington Oak) collected during the fall BioBlitz at the Baars-Firestone Wildlife Sanctuary at the University of West Florida. These were very common in the sanctuary; here's another photographed during the BioBlitz:

.

I am wondering if they might be Polystepha pilulae? These seem similar:

The gall was dissected, and the larva is shown in the second photo.

Any information will be greatly appreciated!

Collected 10/18/15, photographed 10/28/15.
