Spider egg sac?

Spider egg sac?
Baars-Firestone Wildlife Sanctuary, University of West Florida, Pensacola, Escambia County, Florida, USA
October 18, 2015
Size: 7 mm along the stem
Found attached to a dead twig during the fall BioBlitz at the University of West Florida Baars-Firestone Wildlife Sanctuary. Might it be a spider egg sac? The closest visual match I've found is this one...

...which belongs to a cobweb spider, Euryopis.

Any information will be greatly appreciated!
