Empress Leilia - Asterocampa leilia - male

Empress Leilia - Asterocampa leilia - Male
Freeman Homestead Trail, Rincon Unit, Saguaro Natl Monument, Tucson, Pima County, Arizona, USA
April 11, 1993
Size: 3-4 cm
After reading the discussion in Asterocampa, we decided to check another binder to see if we had other images. Wish we had sharper images, but here's one that shows the underside and it's clear that there's only one cell between the eyespots on the forewing, while A.celtis has two.
