Doing it Western Style - Acalymma trivittatum - Male Female
Tonopah Desert, Maricopa County, Arizona, USA
May 18, 2015
Size: 7mm ♀, 6mm ♂
This must be a mating pair of Western Striped Cucumber Beetles, Acalymma trivittatum. They were captured in a Squash Flower.
NOTE: The female's hind tibia is light colored and the male's is dark. I'm not yet sure that they are all like this, in this species.

Range?
Blaine, I thought that I was outside of the range for this species!
Can you please tell me if there is a way to tell the difference between these two species?
Thanks
