Tachinid

Tachinid
Powhite Park, Richmond County, Virginia, USA
November 3, 2015
Perched head-down on tree trunk in deciduous woods. Does the tuft of hairs on the apex of the front femur help with this ID, as well as seasonality and habitat? The bristles also have this black-white-black color.
