Unknown Spider in Chicago Botanical Gardens - Larinioides sclopetarius

Unknown Spider in Chicago Botanical Gardens - Larinioides sclopetarius
Glencoe, Cook County, Illinois, USA
October 30, 2015
I found this spider upside down on a man made structure. Since it was late in the season, and it was a little chilly, it was moving much slower than it most likely would otherwise. Though I don't remember the size exactly it seemed to be a fairly sizable spider, in the 7 - 15mm range depending on whether you include legs in the measurement (it is a very long legged spider). I tried to ID it, but couldn't find anything that matched it's eye pattern, leg size, and pattern well enough. Thanks for your help!

A view of abdomen's dorsal pattern, or just a dorsal view of the whole body including leg-tips, would be of great help, but from what we've got here I am quite certain this is a male of the family Araneidae. It looks particularly like species Larinioides sericatus or Larinioides patagiatus, but I can't back that up on the basis of these angles.
