Limnephilus morrisoni - Limnephilus morrisoni - Female
In Westwood by outdoor night light; elevation 5100ft, Lassen County, California, USA
September 4, 2011
Identification to species Limnephilus morrisoni was determined by Dave Ruiter on October 28, 2015 via examination of this specimen; # D6.

This caddisfly was found deceased in a Cat-Faced Spider's (Araneus gemmoides) web at nighttime. It was well wrapped in webbing by the spider, some of which may still be seen. The spider's loss of dinner has become BugGuides gain of a new species.

My thanks to Dave for providing species ID; and to Brady for new species page.
