Moved
You'd figure with all the adult Cedusa that are around, the nymphs would be seen more often. I found this one under a rock, so maybe they aren't where we would think.

Cedusa
I have just found a paper describing this nymph (Florida Entomologist 84: 120) that shows a drawing of the exact same head sculpturing and rotund form. This is the first time the nymph has ever been properly photographed.

Thanks Andy
I think I still have this nymph in the fridge. Would you like me to send it to you?

specimen
Yes, please send it. The leg characters not seen in these photos are particularly needed for a positive identification.

It would be best if you send it to a colleague of mine who is more likely to give you a positive identification. I have e-mailed him to ask if he can help you.

Otherwise, if you send it to me, it will be crossing an international border, so please lable the package "dead insect, no commercial value, for scientific study only" and send to: KGA Hamilton, KW Neatby Bldg., CEF Ottawa, ON K1A 0C6 Canada. Courier service is safer than by mail, in which case you will also need my telephone number: 613-759-1835

I'll have to find another one
I keep the bugs in the fridge for a few days, then release the ones I don't think are needed. I just cleaned out the vials this morning:-(
