Perfect Camo Moth l No ID - Iridopsis defectaria

Perfect Camo Moth l No ID - Iridopsis defectaria
Denton, Denton County, Texas, USA
August 24, 2014
Size: 1.5" wingspan approx.
Finding this moth was a memorable experience, the perfect camouflage indeed. See the moth in the second image? About one-and-a-half inch length per wingspan. Was fully extended on the large trunk of one of the elm trees by the creek in broad daylight. We're absent the ID for this moth. Many thanks for responding to our query.
