Cricket-like bug

Cricket-like bug
Los Angeles, Los Angeles County, California, USA
November 15, 2015
Size: 0.25 - 0.75"
I found a large number of these cricket-like bugs living in sludge in an aquaponics system at our local school (probably in excess of 30).

They are slow moving, and look like small Jerusalem crickets. The size ranged from about 0.25" to 0.75" long.

The top side of the bug appears black/brown, looks like dirt, but this is the actual color. The underside is light green to bright green. The bodies are soft, no hard shell.

Which species I can not say, I'm no dragonfly expert.

Thank you. It hadn't crossed
Thank you. It hadn't crossed my mind that they could be nymphs. I'll start searching dragonflies.

most likely a libellulid
