Loxandrus crenatus - Oxycrepis crenata
Talladega National Forest, Bibb County, Alabama, USA

Size: 6.3mm
Loxandrus crenatus seemed surprisingly simple to key out, especially in comparison to other species in this difficult genus.

Specific features include:
1. A reflexed, acute, sharp hind angle.
2. A reddish-brown dorsal color.
3. Deeply punctate elytral stria.
4. Iridescent elytra (not seen here).
5. Hairy tarsomere segment 5.
6. Foveal pits in the mentum.
