I often have trouble placing these Spodoptera, but could this one not be a Spodoptera frugiperda?

Interesting, Peter. I had the same thought and had tagged it to study. I second your opinion especially referring to the black triangle near the inner margin

I suggest
Spodoptera ornithogalli - Yellow-striped Armyworm Moth - Hodges#9669
albeit somewhat worn - the sideways "y" is visible
